Volcano Rides

File:Map guatemala volcanoes.gifThe Guatemalan landscape is dotted with volcanoes, 4 of which
are still active. The one that is nearest one to us here in Antigua
Guatemala is called Volcan Fuego. Billowing smoke, loud booms,
and molten lava flows are a regular sight

This ride is mix of paved and unpaved roads. The unpaved sections of these roads
are used on a daily basis my all kinds of bikes so this is not a technical ride. We
start out going north towards Parramos, and then wind uphill from there, through
the most amazing scenery and small village. We will take a break in Santa Lucia
and then make our way back around the west and south sides of Fuego. If we are
lucky we will get to see some close up action from the volcano!
